Pakistani Police pressed murder charges against a 9-month old baby

From the Sydney Morning Herald

A Pakistani court has thrown out charges of attempted murder against a nine-month-old baby, in a case provoking widespread ridicule.

The court has also launched a separate case to look into how police pressed charges against baby Mohammad Musa after his family clashed with gas company officials in a working class neighbourhood in the eastern city of Lahore.

Police lodged a case against the whole family.

The case drew international attention and sparked ridicule against the Pakistani criminal justice system, after the toddler was photographed crying his lungs out while being fingerprinted in court. His grandfather was later seen trying to comfort him with a milk bottle.

Inspector Kashif Muhammad, who was at the crime scene and pressed attempted murder charges against the baby, has since been suspended.

The charges were in direct contradiction with Pakistan's minimum age of criminal responsibility, which was raised from seven to 12 years in 2013 except in terrorism cases.

Police told judge Rafaqat Ali Qamar on Saturday the baby was "no longer required in the case".

Musa's grandfather, Muhammad Yasin, subsequently withdrew a bail application for the baby as the court dropped the case.

Yasin had accused police of fabricating the charges because they were colluding with a rival party who wanted to see the accused evicted from their land and had obtained an order to remove their gas connections.

I wonder what would have happened if there was no international criticism?

Arrogant or Balls-bearing?

Somehow I get the feeling that PKR is wonderfully full of servile sycophantic serfs. Three weeks ago I posted Kajang folks, be bloody grateful! which was about Azmin Ali (PKR) demanding of Kajang voters to be GRATEFUL to international class leader Anwar Ibrahim for His Most Majestic Magnificence's willingness to stand as a lowly state by-election candidate in their presumably low-class satay town.

As reported by Malaysiakini's Be grateful Anwar will contest, Kajang folk told, Azmin crooned about Anwar the Great:

“He’s a great leader, he’s not a common politician, but a statesman who’s willing to parachute to Kajang to help the Selangor government.”

"As such, the people of Kajang should be grateful that this world (class) leader is now descending in Kajang to join the struggle."

I believe Kajang people have been lucky to be born in recent times because had they been in the early periods of the Singhasari era or even as recent as 16th Century Malacca Sultanate, most of them would probably have been executed straightaway for not demonstratively prostrating ourselves immediately in a show of utmost GRATITUDE on hearing of His Most Exalted Highness 'willingness' to descend to their mere satay town so as to offer His Most Exalted Self to be their (bumpkins') representative, when you consider he's in 'reality' an uncommon global leader, a statesman and a Magnificent Mega Manmanlai.

But as if PKR is afraid that Kajang folks haven't taken due notice of Azmin Ali's warning, the party swiftly moves to remind them again of the need to be GRATEFUL to His Most Exalted Highness and Magnificent Majestic Manmanlai, with another specimen from its full stable of servile sycophantic serfs delivering the reminder.

Malaysiakini reported in its Be grateful for Anwar, PKR tells voters again of that reminder by Abdullah Sani, PKR's Hulu Langat MP, as follows:

Showering his boss with accolades in his speech in Sungai Sekamat, Abdullah said that no other Malaysian leader has achieved what Anwar has.

"The people of Kajang should be grateful to have a great leader, who is recognised by the world."

I cannot help but SHUDDER on hearing that GRATEFUL word again, not because I fear shades of Singhasari era penalties for Kajang-ites failing to ampu PKR's political royalty but more because I can't believe such sickening obsequious brown nosing still exits today.

And Gawd, Gasp, Omigosh, the sheer sickening shitty arrogance of PKR, twice over, in telling Kajang folks to be GRATEFUL to Anwar, a man who wants their votes!

Kajang folks, be bloody grateful!

In my KTemoc Konsiders' post titled Words that annoy, I missed out one damn word that has regularly pissed me off for the same damn patronizing tone that annoying words carry.

Usually it would be UMNO people who uttered this word, to wit, 'grateful', say, in the context of the rakyat to be 'grateful' to the UMNO-led government for doling out benefits to the rakyat.

That the UMNO-led government was using taxpayers' money to give back benefits to the same taxpayers had somehow missed the moronic muddled mindless thinking of those UMNO politicians, .....

..... but which shouldn't be surprising because of 2 factors, namely (a) the archaic feudal mindset in Malaysia that national leaders (even and especially those elected by us) owe everything in the country and thus when they 'give' we should be 'grateful' to them, and (b) those UMNO politicians who uttered the 'grateful' word have an abysmally low class and low standard of political understanding ..... hmmm, on second thoughts, maybe just low class, wakakaka.

Now, we have Azmin Ali of PKR telling us, via Malaysiakini's Be grateful Anwar will contest, Kajang folk told:

“He’s a great leader, he’s not a common politician, but a statesman who’s willing to parachute to Kajang to help the Selangor government.”

"As such, the people of Kajang should be grateful that this world (class) leader is now descending in Kajang to join the struggle."

or I'd have been arrested, wakakaka

Apart from Azmin Ali's arrogant poppycock bullshit, should we be astounded by a politician from PKR and not UMNO uttering that patronizing annoying word 'grateful' in his talk-down to the peasant class of Kajang?

No, absolutely not, because if you would recall, Azmin Ali was from UMNO, which may explain why he found it so natural to use that word! It's in his DNA!

The buah langsat sure as hell doesn't fall far from the langsat tree.

look, there's one in mutated form, he'll be worse
OK then, let's send him over to the sub-branch

A dark aspect of Indian 'culture'

From the Sydney Morning Herald:

West Bengal, India: Indian police have video footage and photographs of men gang raping a woman on the orders of a village elder in a case that shocked the country, according to two officers working on the case who have seen the material.

The footage and photographs were taken during the January 20 attack when the woman was raped by as many as 13 men in a West Bengal village, according to the officers, who asked not to be identified. Police recovered the footage from mobile phones confiscated while arresting the men and it will be used to prosecute them, according to the officers.

The attack was the latest in a series of sexual assaults and gang rapes of women that have stained the image of the world's second-most populous country. The village headman in rural eastern India ordered the Hindu woman to raped because she failed to pay her portion of a 50,000 rupee ($905) fine for having an affair with a Muslim married man from another community, according to police.

"Many of these men think they can get away with anything because they can get away with other crimes," said Pradeep Gooptu, the founder-trustee of Haven, a charity that works to improve literacy in tribal communities. "There is a Talibanisation of tribal politics, and we must stamp it out."

Dipesh Ghosh, a lawyer for the detained men, could not confirm that his clients had shot the footage when reached by phone. Alok Rajoria, the most senior policeman in Birbhum, the district where the attack occurred, did not answer two calls to his mobile phone.

The victim, from a low-caste Hindu community, had an affair with a Muslim man in an area of the country where communities are deeply segregated, according to police. As punishment, villagers operating outside the law tied them to a tree in the centre of the village and ordered them to pay the fine after a late-night show trial, a police report said.

"Since they are not going to give you the money, you can have fun with her or do whatever you like with her," the village headman told others who had gathered, according to the police report of the woman's testimony.

To compensate the victim, West Bengal's state government has started construction of a house for the woman and her family, according to Monirul Islam, a lawmaker with All India Trinamool Congress, the ruling party in the state. He declined to comment further.

The home will be built about 15 kilometres from where the attack took place in the village, according to one of the police officers involved in the case. It will cost more than 1 million rupees and will have a consistent electricity and water supply, the police officer said.

India has undergone an unprecedented national debate about the safety of women since the 2012 gang rape of a student in New Delhi who later died from her injuries. In the latest case that highlighted the dangers for women, a 51-year-old Danish tourist was gang raped close to the centre of India's capital.

Astonishing Nancy Sukri!

fz.com - Rulers' immunity at risk if we sign Rome Statute: Nancy

This sweetie is astonishing. First she claims that unless bumiputeras are given government aid, those citizens will steal.

I wonder whether I would be insulted if I'm a bumiputera, wakakaka.

And I might as well wonder too, whether she will now persuade Najib to extend economic aid via the NEP to the highly marginalized Indians because there has been accusations/claims that the Indians have been responsible for 30% of crimes in Peninsula Malaysia.

I would like to know her no-doubt astonishingly brilliant answer.

Now, she takes us one step further into her astonishing mind, by declaring that Malaysia won't sign the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) so as to protect the sovereignty of HM Agong and state rulers, as our raja-raja have certain immunity, which in her astonishing brilliant mind, may be imperiled by the ICC.

Yes man, sweetie could even find the astonishingly brazen gall to utter those words after ICC counsel Datuk N. Sivananthan had already stated, very clearly, that the ICC will not interfere if the domestic courts were able to deal with cases involving monarchs and state rulers.

gnoring the words of ICC counsel Datuk N. Sivananthan, sweetie muttered astonishingly blissfully: "The Yang Dipertuan Agong and state rulers are the symbols of state sovereignty and this rare and remaining institution needs to be safeguarded as they lead back to the Malaccan Sultanate."

Astonishing, apart from her astonishing socio-economic and legal expertise, we also see in her an astonishing budding historian of immense potential, wakakaka.

Incidentally, the Rome Statute identified four core international crimes, namely, genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and the crime of aggression.

As reported, under the Rome Statute, the ICC can only investigate and prosecute the four core international crimes in situations where states are 'unable' or 'unwilling' to do so themselves.

From her most astonishing loyal defence of our raja-raja vis-├á-vis any likely prosecution by the ICC, we are forced to conclude that sweetie astonishingly anticipates HM and HRHs may commit possible crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and the crime of aggression. Astonishing, least to say!

Where the astonishing f**k did she come from, this astonishing kuite kutie klutz? Wakakaka, and we thought we have already gotten rid of Ng Yen Yen, wakakaka again.

Dr Asri compares cattle slaughtering with Thaipusam coconut breaking

While I respect my Penang lang, Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin, the well-known former mufti of Perlis, I just cannot agree with his take on an example of Malaysian religious ceremonies as reported by Malaysiakini's Don't just harp on korban, what about other faiths?

Dr Asri

In responding to Hindus complaining about the slaughter of cows at SK Puchong Jaya in Selangor during Aidiladha last week, he stated that while 'he agrees that schools are not appropriate venues for the Aidiladha cow sacrifice ritual, other religious acts in public places should also be similarly regulated.'

The 'other' religious act in public place that he brought out was obviously Thaipusam, because he said:

Lord Murugan conveyed in chariot

"Among these, roads are not places for religious processions such as carrying idols and smashing of coconuts to the point of inconveniencing road users or messing up a public space, such as being carried out by followers of certain religions. If you want to streamline (the regulations), then do it for all."

notice Chinese among the devotees?

Come on lah, Dr Asri, where's the comparison between slaughtering live animals like cattle and sometimes even camels accompanied by blood and gore in a school in front of its young pupils, traumatizing the kids, and the breaking of coconut fruits on roads which might have temporarily inconvenienced drivers.

Incidentally Chinese Penangites have been among the most staunch supporter of the Thaipusam processions and the associated ritual of breaking coconuts for Lord Murugan's blessings.

mainly Chinese

Furthermore, the religious procession of Thaipusam and the associated ritual of breaking coconuts are known to police who would each year provide early advice to motorists, provide escort to the procession as well as control the traffic along the route especially at the affected road(s).

Chinese devotee of Lord Murugan with kavadi

As for his claim that the ritual would mess up a public space (road), obviously (and strangely for a Penangite) he has not been aware that once the Thaipusam chariot carrying Lord Murugan has passed, the so-called mess, namely broken coconuts on the road, would have been swiftly taken away by members of the public for their own use, like extracting santan (coconut milk) from the fruit, and even making use of the shells for fuel.

Dr Asri is respected for his fairness, and I am one of his fans, but in this case I don't agree with his comparison, which in reality is no comparison at all - because one traumatized kids with the bloody slaughter of live animals (ones which additionally are sacred to Hindus) while the other merely broke coconuts on a road, which would not be insensitive to other religions (unless you're a new Ayah Pin who worships coconuts, wakakaka).

PDRM leadership by bad examples

A few days ago, according to TMI, IGP Khalid Abu Bakar tweeted that "the police in Malaysia were on alert to prevent Chin Peng's remains from being brought into the country, ..... and all checkpoints are being watched to ensure that his body or his ashes are not smuggled in."

Today, TMI informed us that the Deputy Home Minister states there is No law to stop Chin Peng’s ashes being brought back.

Deputy Home Minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar was quoted stating: “There is nothing any of the authorities can do. We have no laws to stop the ashes from being brought in or penalise anyone carrying the ashes in.”

Wan Junaidi, a lawyer and no pseudo-warrior as he fought the communists at the height of the Malayan emergency in Sarawak, said 'he wouldn't know how the authorities would deal with anyone found carrying an urn with Chin Peng's ashes at the airport.'

What this means is that the IGP has openly declared initiation of a f**king illegal operations, and consequential misuse of scarce police resources, in an undoubted bodek-ish and unlawful attempt to prevent the ashes of Chin Peng from returning to Malaysia.

Yes, the IGP, the nation's so-called No 1 policeman, has boasted of an illegal operations and proposed to misuse tax-payer funded police resources to support it.

In June 2013, Khalid Abu Bakar has also been found by the High Court as being responsible for the death of A Kugan while in police custody. The court declared Khalid would be liable to misfeasance in the 2009 custodial death.

Khalid Abu Bakar lacked and obviously still lacks the basic decency, let alone honour, to resign from the IGP job for his gross inexcusable errors.

But nonetheless he should and must go!

And his boss, Home Affairs Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is no better for allegedly behaving like a thug for assaulting a man who was merely interested in his daughter. The Federal Court has ruled Ahmad Zahid has a case to answer for his alleged samseng-ness.

How could Najib appoint such a man as Home Affairs Minister?

UMNO's pseudo pahlawan

as UMNO Youth Chief (and In Anwar Ibrahim's camp) he treacherously turned against Dr Mahathir (then UMNO president)
then (jumping over to Dr Mahathir's camp) he treacherously turned against his mentor-patron Anwar Ibrahim (then UMNO deputy president)

With these two men of such questionable records heading the police department, it's little wonder the state of security, namely law & order, in our nation has gone to the dogs.

What does PM Najib propose to do?

JAKIM the voice of god?

In my other blog KTemoc Konsiders I wrote the god of MEN. The article below by the Malay Mail Online titled SIS warns Jakim against claiming to be voice of God shows an example:

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 ― Malaysia’s religious authorities risk the sin of “shirik” (idolatry) after seemingly speaking for God in judging an online video deemed offensive to Islam, Muslim women’s group Sisters in Islam (SIS) warned yesterday.

On Friday, the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) adjudged a video made by dog trainer Maznah Mohd Yusof, which shows her walking and bathing her dogs, to be an insult to Islam and resulted in the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) pursuing investigations against her.

“What differentiates Jakim’s opinion from that of the lay person is that Jakim’s views are backed up by enforcement powers of the state,” SIS programme manager Suri Kempe told The Malay Mail Online via email yesterday.

“Anybody who questions and challenges the injustice of these views and actions is accused of being against Islam and God,” she said. “This is tantamount to claiming to be the embodiment of God, and Jakim should be very careful as it could be a form of shirik.”

Shirik, which means setting up rivals or peers with God, is one of the gravest sins in Islam.

Suri pointed out that understandings of Islam and the Quran are “partial, limited and humble” and cannot be considered “perfect or free from error”.

“The great ulama (clerics) of the classical period were very humble and conscious of this,” said Suri.

“Imam Shafie is reported to have said, ‘I believe my opinion is right with the possibility that it is wrong and I believe the opinion of those who disagree with me is wrong with the possibility of that being correct.’ And only God knows best,” she added. Imam Shafie is regarded as the founder of Islamic jurispudence.

The Muslim women’s rights activist also said that SIS did not find Maznah’s video insulting.

“We do, however, find it troubling that Jakim claims to ― and is recognised by other actors within government (such as MCMC) ― speak for Islam and for God,” said Suri.

“To us, the video simply shows somebody who loves her dogs, and respects dogs as one of Allah’s creations, and who emphasises cleanliness,” she added.

Ketuanan mentality over Selangor MB position?

The Star - Guan Eng: Selangor MB post should be decided by Pakatan and not just PKR

Commonsense and basic understanding of what a coalition means ought to have apprised us of that.

Yet Wanita PKR chief Zuraida Kamaruddin had the audacious and indeed outrageous temerity to snarl at DAP and PAS to stay out of the issue on the appointment of the Selangor Mentri Besar.

What a blooming disappointment she (and others in PKR, wakakaka) didn't and couldn't understand that Pakatan as a coalition (and not PKR alone) won the state in GE-13.

And the obscenity of her contemptible presumptuousness has been that PKR has emerged as the component party in Pakatan with the LEAST number of seats, only 14 compared to PAS' 15 and DAP's 15, yet she had the brazen nerve to act as if the MB position is a birthright of PKR, a lamentable ketuanan mentality.

Dei Auntie, your PKR has the least number of seats lah

Most indicatively it shows the buah bangsat langsat hasn't fallen far from the UMNO tree.

Saiful Bukhari's father withdraws apology to Anwar Ibrahim

In  my other blog KTemoc Konsiders I posted Son and father on 09 March 2013. One of the 'son & father' stories I raised was about Azlan Mohd Lazim, the father of Saiful Bukhari Azlan.

Yes, Saiful is the bloke involved in the Sodomy II notoriety, who had accused Anwar Ibrahim of ... er ... "whatever" - let's not go there.

TMI had then reported that ... in a heavily-guarded press conference yesterday, Azlan, 60, alleged that the conspiracy was planned by a special officer in the Prime Minister’s Department and was engineered to tarnish Anwar’s image with another sodomy charge, the opposition leader’s second since he lost his post in government in 1998.

Azlan, who was not with his son at the press conference called by PKR’s Datuk Johari Abdul, apologised to Anwar and his family over the incident, admitting the episode had put them through much pain and suffering.

During the press conference, Mr Azlan Lazim was accompanied by, wakakaka, a PKR man, though this time, thank G-D, there was no Sivarasa Rasiah, wakakaka - see also my post The missing man in the Altantuyaa story.

As I mentioned in my KTemoc post, strangely when I went through my notes on Saiful, I notice no reference or mention of his father, Mr Azlan Mohd Lazim at all, zilch, nada, kosong - of course I could be wrong. But nonetheless, based on that qualified limited knowledge, his appearance at the press conference was out of the blue.

However, in my notes, I read that Saiful's uncle was mentioned in Malaysiakini's Saiful in hiding, uncle has faith - his uncle reported that Saiful has been subjected to horrendous character assassination on the Internet. Well matey, I am not surprised at all knowing the gross feral behaviour of our Malaysian moronic mindless Myrmidons, wakakaka.

But never of his father – maybe it’s just me and my general lack of interest in the subject, where I could have missed reading about Mr Azlan Lazim's involvement and consoling of his son during the Sodomy II period, though I have to say I read of Saiful's uncle defending Saiful and also viewed a video clip of Saiful's brother also defending Saiful - but never of or about the father.

Anyway, Saiful Bukhari repudiated his father's statement in the press conference. FMT's I stand by my accusation, says Saiful reported that Saiful, at a press conference held at his lawyer's office, in a response to his father's so-called repentant 'confession', said:

“In the name of Allah, my race and Malaysia, I will not budge from my allegation, the statements I made in court and the religious oath I took in a mosque years back, till my death.”

Wow, “In the name of Allah ..." is pretty serious stuff.

So what next, other than moral victory and vindication for Anwar Ibrahim?

Well, would you believe it that today, TMI in its Saiful’s dad retracts apology to Anwar, now says Sodomy II not a plot reported:

KAJANG, May 1 ― Azlan Mohd Lazim has now retracted his apology to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, saying today his son Saiful Bukhari’s sodomy complaint against the opposition leader was not a plot.
He added that “certain quarters” had influenced him to apologise to Anwar and say it was a political conspiracy in a closed-door press conference last March 8.
“Today, I retract my apology to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and stress that my son’s sodomy case is true."
“It isn’t a political conspiracy,” he told a press conference at a hotel here.

Okay, so be it, and yes, the timing sucks inasmuch as the timing of the media interview of widow of P Balasubramaniam sucked, wakakaka.

I am not so interested in what Mr Azlan Lazim has said, or what Anwar Ibrahim or Saiful Bukhari will say.

But sure as hell, I want to know what those PKR supporters will be saying THIS TIME about Mr Azlan Lazim, wakakaka.

Saudi Arabia Expels Three Emiratis For Being ‘Too Handsome

By Palash R. Ghosh April 17 2013 1:00 PM

In one of the most bizarre stories to come out of Saudi Arabia in recent years, three men from the United Arab Emirates were deported from the Kingdom reportedly because they were “too handsome” and would unduly attract the ardor of too many Saudi women.

Saudi sweeties

The Emirati men were expelled from the country on Sunday, by Saudi religious police while attending an annual culture show -- the Jenadriyah Heritage and Culture Festival -- in the capital of Riyadh, according to the website of Arab language Elaph newspaper.

Saudi sweeties may be influenced by Emirati men
to become like this Arab hottie

“A festival official said the three Emiratis were taken out on the grounds they are too handsome and that the Commission members feared female visitors could fall for them,” the newspaper said. The commission referred to is for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vices.

or this one

The three men were immediately deported to Abu Dhabi.

Dubai-based Emirates 24/7, however, has reported that the expulsion was promoted by the presence of an Emirati woman artist at its exhibition at the festival, which would suggest Saudi officials were upset by a mixing of the sexes at the event.

Under Saudi custom and law, unrelated men and women are forbidden to interact.

Hindraf warned Pembelot Waythamoorthy

Even for some Hindraf members, Waythamoorty cozy chummy coyness with Aneh Nambikei a.k.a Najib Razak was just too much.

Yesterday FMT reported that those Hindraf members told Waytha to denounce BN or quit Hindraf.

Waythamoorthy, hope you know what 'pembelot' means
If you don't, read the story of Mir Jafar, another Indian pembelot

They accused him of making pro UMNO decisions without consulting the members. Jayathas, Hindraf's former Information Chief said:

“Why should we go to BN when we can still negotiate with PR? We have been against BN all this while. Why this sudden change?”

“Waythamoorthy has never met us and continues to make decisions for Hindraf and the Indians within his faction of the movement. This has to stop.”

Mir Muhammed Jafar Ali Khan Bahadur
more notoriously known as just Mir Jafar

mirjafar in Bengali & meerjafar in Urdu
is synonymous with pembelot or quisling

Hindraf coordinator for KL, N Shanmugam revealed that Waythamoorthy had even marginalized (kicked out from his faction) those supporters who questioned his recent statements and actions.

Shanmugan said: “We are not his enemies. He is one of us. He should have worked together with our other four leaders. Instead, he is splitting the Indian voters.”

“Hindraf has never supported Umno or BN and we will never vote for them.

“We have been deprived of our rights for far too long and we are not going to change our mind just because they accept our blueprint on the eve of elections.”

Actually Najib hasn't yet accepted Hindraf so-called blueprint but Waythamoorthy and his close aides have indicated their political preference as if Aneh Nambikei has, wakakaka.
